Women’s Sacred Dance Policy Sheet
Welcome to our Women’s Sacred Dance Circle. I am so pleased you have chosen to join us in this sacred container of transformation through deeper embodiment.
Women’s Sacred Dance is a deeply focused, spontaneous movement meditation that opens us to the rich inner world and feminine wisdom that lies within us as women. Through dancing, we connect with our core and open ourselves to the individual and collective mysteries of the feminine. The Dance is a deeply intimate and transformative healing practice.
Each woman is held in a sacred circle of trust which is created by the intention and loving acceptance of each individual present. What we experience during our time together is held in confidence. It is our intention to support, respect and nurture our sisters. In doing this we encourage a refined frequency in which the deepest experiences can arise.
An essential aspect of creating a sacred container is consistency and attendance. Our commitment to the work strengthens the connection of women and also allows for our individual experiences to continuously deepen. I ask that you make your best possible effort to join us each week.
Please be mindful of the reasons we create in order not to show up for the dance. Often there is a way we can arrive for ourselves. If you are not feeling up for it-this is often an important time to come. So please ask yourself-Is it truly in my best interest to not attend dance at this time? However, if you are unable to attend please let me know as soon as possible (preferably at the beginning of the session yet, at the very least 2 hours before class begins).
Therefore, payment is by session. This symbolizes your commitment to your own personal healing journey through the dance and your commitment to show up for the group. The cost of each 5-week session is $150. Payment is made the first week of each 5-week session unless another time is agreed upon. Paying per session encourages women to show up and it also holds your space in the circle. Space is limited due to our desire to create an intimate environment and also due to the size of our temple. Often women continue dance for multiple sessions. If you will not be joining us for the next session, I need to be informed on or before the fifth week of the session. This way I have the opportunity to fill the space if need be.
Our intention is to begin on time. Out of respect for each sister’s time, we will begin promptly. Arriving a few minutes early to settle in is requested.
Please dress as comfortably and as beautifully as you like. A lovely part of the experience is to adorn ourselves in creative ways. Skirts, sashes and clothing that are easy to move around in are encouraged.
Again, I would like to Welcome you to the circle and thank you for joining us. May our journey together be a blessing for us both!
